Welcome to Revado Hills
Thank you for considering living in our newest community, Revado Hills - an awe-inspiring piece of property located off from the Natural Beauty Road of Bailey Drive. The character of this property itself is enough to want to nest here.
When walking the land one feels a sense of revival (rev-ado) that is found when traveling to remote rural areas yet is located so close to the conveniences of Ada Village.
More exciting news is the Ada Village Master Plan that is backed by both the Amway Corporation and Ada Township to add even more shopping, restaurants, parks and public facilities to the Village. (See Plan) From Revado Hills, you will be able to bike or walk right to the Village. This land has a unique history of conservation and architecture that we intend to continue.
History of Conservation and Architecture
In 1961, Mr. H. Edward Brunhoff purchased 32 acres to build a mid-century modern home up upon the hilltops of Ada. He hired Kay Jansma a home designer from Fremont, Michigan to put together their dream home. Not much can be found about Kay but in viewing her work on this home, you can see the artistry and organic nature of her designs. The homes materials of stone and large cedar planks are intended to blend with its surroundings.
In 1971, Dr. Wayne Beld purchased the property and set out to create a conservation plan that would help foster the wildlife and create a trout pond for fishing. With the assistance of the US Department of Agriculture, they created a plan to improve the woodlands by cutting trees, planting shrubs and managing the springs that feed into the newly created pond.
Now walking the property, you can see the thoughtfulness that took place to bringing the woods to maturity and create this picturesque pond. In 1974, Dr. Roger and Ellen Wassink purchased the home to raise their family of seven and forty Arabian Horses. They called it “Adarab Farm” and purchased an additional 11 acres land. They enjoyed the land and nature for over 40 years.
This 43 acres of pristine property is now in our hands to create a wonderful collection of homes that honor the environment. Mosaic is committed to build all the homes in Revado Hills to the Michigan Green built Standard. Furthermore, we will thoughtfully plan each home for its particular site.
